For many years now, scientists and environmentalists have been very concerned about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a 500-mile area of toxic plastic waste that extends from California to the Sea of Japan. Questions 2: Why have they planned to make the island as big as Hawaii? Question 3: How will it float if there are people on it? Won't it sink?
