In the past, this amazing ability has been duplicated by researchers to create wall-scaling robots and now, a team of scientists from Germany has come up with a gecko inspired adhesive tape, that can be re-used thousands of times.

Something I thought that was impressing was when the text said that a small 20cm x 20cm square piece is strong enough to handle the weight of an adult plus that it can be stuck to any surface and even used underwater. I would recommened this article to any of my freinds who want to learn about the unassuming gecko .
- Jennings13년 이상I think that the Gecko tape is a good and bad idea at the same time. The good thing is that the gecko tape is extremely sticky and leaves no residue, and can be used underwater. The bad thing is that if we, the destroyer of hundreds of animal species will make another animal extinct. If gecko tape is widely used, then gecko species will be extinct or critically endangered in a few decades. I would only recommend this to someone if they are only doing a one-time job that needs some extra help, or avoid this (if gecko tape is commercially available).
