While the United States of America is today a place where every person - no matter what class, creed or color is equal - this was not always the case. Earlier this week, the country commemorated two major milestones that paved the way for all the freedom we now enjoy - The 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Antietam and the subsequent Emancipation Proclamation. However, before we get into the details, here is a brief history of the chain of events that led to these history-making episodes.

ajg16약 7년It's sad that those people were takin from there home and forced to work as slaves just because of there skin color. I hate that people are treated differently, we are all human beings, we should be judged by now we treat others and how we act as a person not by the color of skin or how we dress or our looks or sizes. We don't chose how we look when we are born, we embrace it to become better as a person. We are stronger as a whole then separated by hatred. ❤- ale약 8년i love history
