Giant squids, the kind referred to in Jules Verne's 1870 novel, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, have been known to exist for many centuries. However, finding the world's largest invertebrate in its natural habitat had proved a little elusive. Now, thanks to some patient Japanese researchers, we can all finally get a glimpse of this magnificent cephalopod!

lemonysnicket약 13년I never knew that a colossal squid was 13m tall. They didn’t mention that a squid spurts out ink to its enemies. A squid has many different features. They didn’t mention that a squid’s eye is a size of a pizza. They didn’t mention that a squid is the 2nd top of the food chain. I have heard of epic battles between the colossal squid and the sperm whale.

dandan약 13년That is the coolest thing I have ever seen in the sea.If I was one of those people,I would shrink it (somehow) and bring it home for a pet.What exactly would I feed a giant squid? I doubt the pet store has food for a squid.I did not know that a giant squid is almost as big as a sperm whale!
