When Massachusetts Institute of Technology students Jim Bredt and Tim Anderson created the first 3-D printer in 1995 by modifying an inkjet printer so that it would extrude a binding solution on to a bed of powder, instead of ink on paper, they probably had no idea of its tremendous potential.

I definitely think that 3D printers will change the world, but it might impact it in a bad way. If 3D printers can print ANYTHING, then can you imagine what people might print? Weapons would be fully functional and available to just about everyone, so as well as helping the world, it would be just as dangerous.
