One of the most poignant memory recalled by some of the 900 survivors from 885-feet long luxury liner Titanic that sank on April 15th 1912, was that of the orchestra playing the hymn "Nearer, My God, to Thee", to try calm the panicked passengers as they made their way to the lifeboats.

i believe the violin is worth that much money because it is from a ship that sunk so many years ago and many of the other items on that ship didn't make it because of the sink but this is an artifact now so thats why i think that the violin is worth that much money.

well I think that $1.45 million dollors is rediculous! I can understand that it is so much since it had been in a sunken ship, but thats way to much money!
