On October 14th 2012, over eight million people worldwide tuned in to YouTube to watch Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner leap from the edge of space - 128,000 feet (24 miles) above sea level - and break the sound barrier as he came zooming down to earth.

              When Felix broke the sound barrier it was a phenomenal thing . He was the first person to travel at super sonic speed with help from a machine . 830 miles per hour is pretty fast a normal car only goes about 120 .

                That is so cool just thinking about jumping that far and fast is scary! He had to jump 128,000 feet (24 miles) above sea level to break the sound barrier! I would never jump that having to wear a heavy suit and i would be to scared that my parachute wouldn't open!
