In September 2013, the government of Spain increased taxes on cultural events from 8% to 21%, making the cost of live theater performances prohibitive for most people. While most theater owners sat around fuming at the officials, Barcelona-based Teatreneu, decided to tackle the challenge with an innovative approach to attract audience.

divergent1533약 11년OMG!!! I laugh like every second of the day, so i would not b able to go to one of these comedies and like not spend like a lot of $$$$$$.- Autumn Bell약 11년I would try to stifle a laugh or at laugh in my head (this is what I usually do . . . except with my friends. THEY ARE AWESOME!!) That way I could still enjoy the show AND pay less!! Of course, if it was a REALLY good comedy show or act, then I would be able to hold it in for a few seconds and I would eventually burst out laughing. I think this is a great idea because now, if you don't like the show, at least you kinda get a refund by not laughing as much. The people who work there must have very innovative and perceptive minds! In our grade, we are doing engineering and trying to work on solving the world's problems, and this ties in with it so perfectly! DOGONews, you are the BEST for current events!
