On Thursday, January 22nd, social media sites were buzzing with excitement at the pictures of the blue patches of glimmering water along Hong Kong's coastline. However, experts were not as thrilled. That's because while the algal bloom responsible for this mesmerizing sight are not toxic to humans, they are well-known to wreak havoc on marine life.

In my personal opinion this is all the humans fault. Like it said in the article nutrient rich sewage is the cause of this. We have to cut down the dump of uncheck sewage and them this won't happen. If I were the scientists I wouldn't be thrilled either.

I agree,if people stop throwing away things that are toxic-such as food *coughcoughMcdonaldscough*-and maybe give them to the homeless then this wouldn't happen, and we'd have clear oceans and healthy citizens.

Being too large for small crustaceans to eat, sea sparkle leaves them to perish
