Orion's Successful Flight Just The First Step On Journey To Mars

On December 5th, 2014, NASA scientists got one step closer to their dream of landing humans on Mars with Orion's successful test flight. One of the biggest challenges it overcame was withstanding the dreaded Van Allen radiation belt located 3,600 miles above Earth's surface. Now scientists have to come up with a way to ensure that the humans that will call the spacecraft home during the six-to-nine month long journey to the Red Planet and back, are able to do the same.

cosmologist3777년 이상This Mars mission is getting even more exciting than I thought. You know why they are planning a voyage to Mars? Since scientists have found existence of liquid water trapped in the martian depths under lava tubes and ice sheets on the surface of Mars, they conclude that there is a possibility of life to evolve just like it did 4 billion years ago. Mars had 3 generations of life and all of them were wiped out by catastrophic climate changes and collision courses of planets. So, now Mars is isolated but not for long. Fun Fact: Do you know why Mars is very rusty? Mars looked like earth millions of years ago. After some catastrophes that led the water of Mars to evaporate, the life that had been there was erased too. Water is made up of two hydrogen molecules and one oxygen. So, the hydrogen evaporated and all the oxygen that used to be in the water is now in the rocks of Mars. That is why it is very rusty. ==> Like if you agree! :-)
