In late April and early June, two giant eel-like fish washed ashore on the beaches of Aramoana, New Zealand and Catalina Island, California. Known as oarfish or Regalecus russelii, the colossal deep-sea creatures that measured 10-feet and 17-feet long respectively, are a rare sight. Hence the news of two appearing almost simultaneously, caused much excitement and also a little trepidation.

- Sheradragon9년 이상Also did you know that the catfish in japenese legends cause giant tsunamis? It's pretty obvious because even in Dragon ball z this strange catfish looking creature said he could cause earthquakes but that was all a lie because he could only sence when one was coming.
- Sheradragon9년 이상I think that it's cool that the oarfish can separate it's tail from it's body just like certain reptiles. I have never seen such a sight of this creature, and I didn't even know it existed. Maybe someday as a zoolagist when I get older, I study this facinating creatures.
