Space food has come a long way since John Glenn orbited Earth in 1962. He and other members of Project Mercury, the first American human spaceflight program, had to endure unappetizing foods that came in the form of bite-sized cubes, freeze-dried powders, and semi-liquids stuffed in aluminum tubes. Today astronauts can select from an extensive menu of over 70 foods and 20 beverages. The one thing they still can't get? Fresh fruits and vegetables!

This is really cool, though I wonder how they figured out they could do it in the first place. I don't know that level of science, but it seems interesting!(I'm so positive =D BD)

This article is interesting because it tells us about how our space eating has changed. It reminds me of all the stories I have every read about space like "The Apollo".I can infer that this story is made to inform everyone on how the art of space food has changed through the years. How did they come up with the way to make space lettuce?
