Once underground mines have served their purpose, most are sealed and forgotten. The 2000-year-old Salina Turda Salt Mine in the city of Turda, Romania was no exception. The mine which is believed to have opened in the Middle Ages (as far back as 1075) was shuttered in 1932 after competition from neighboring mines rendered its operation unprofitable.

I have an answer to your "Critical Thinking Challenge." They are not following they're example because they may not have the funds or they can not find any mines. It would be great for there to be a amusement park in in the U.S Mr.? signing out.

Is it stable for people to be in there? Is there an emergency exit or escape route? The article was great but if you could include these questions with answers it would be great. Mr.? signing out.
