Brooklyn Artist's "Message in a Bottle" To Raise Environmental Awareness Washes Ashore in France

On January 17, Brigitte Barthélémy was walking along the seashore just north of France's famous Bordeaux wine region when she stumbled upon a bottle nestled among a pile of seashells. Inside were two tightly rolled pieces of paper. One contained a beautiful hand-drawn sketch of a cormorant, while the other, was a message from the New York Pelagic outlining how litter caught in the ocean currents is often fatal for the water birds that mistake the bright plastic debris for food.

adroit_avimimus3년 이하Omg nooo! That is so sad! I cannot believe that 90% of seabirds have plastic in their stomachs, and this number could increase to 99% by 2050 if nothing is done!!! And this article was published 6 years ago! Imagine how terrible this issue is now! We need to raise environmental awareness!

piggypoo4년 이상Wow, this has helped me on one of my assighnments s and i really in joyed reading this it is great for a school assighnment i also used it for a GIST template.- A student 6년 이하Wow, this is great! I'm using this for a school assignment and this is really useful for me! This person is also helping by so much! It may not seem like a lot but imagine drawing around 2 dozen pictures and messages to put them in bottles and hopefully makes it somewhere.
