When one thinks of a spider, the image that comes to mind is the crafty arthropod feasting on an innocent insect it has lured into its web. It turns out that the arachnids have a much more sophisticated palate. In addition to relishing the occasional fish and frog, they also have a strong penchant for vegetables. At least, that's the conclusion reached by a team of zoologists from the USA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, after an extensive worldwide study of the eight-legged arthropods.

dulajperera9년 이상I thought that Spiders were supposed to be carnivores. But, now that idea has changed, since this article mentioned that the arthropods eat plants and insects alike. Since this is the case, spiders are supposed to be in the omnivores list. Yet, I think that the spiders would prefer the usual insects than the plants, since insects are more tasty and nutritious. Scientists could try investigating more about this until they can come to a conclusion that is convenient for the spiders and make spiders eat more plants by using certain chemicals to increase the taste of the plants.
