Though most of you probably are well into your summer break, the astronomical season does not begin until June 20. Called summer solstice, it is the day when the North Pole is most inclined towards the sun, allowing residents of the Northern Hemisphere, to enjoy the longest day (and shortest night) of the year. Of course, the opposite is true for the Southern Hemisphere where residents will celebrate winter solstice and experience the shortest day (and longest night) of the year.

- jc05약 8년I live in California, and there are summer solstice festivals/parties where the residents go to museums, streets, outdoor screenings, beaches, and more. Summer Solstice also celebrates along with a Film Festival, guest appearances are treated to the residents and movie fans. Then for the music fans, there is something called, Make Music where amateurs and professional musicians show and play their music for their loving fans. This all happens in various locations throughout the city (that I live in) and its suburbs. There is also something for people who enjoy eating. It is called the Street Food Festival where it samples 100s of different foods from different vendors. This provides residents to grab an opportunity to try different foods.
