Depending on where you live, today — Thursday, June 21 — is the first day of summer or winter. Also known as the June solstice, it is the day when the North Pole is most inclined towards the sun, allowing residents of the Northern Hemisphere to enjoy the longest day of the year. Conversely, those living in the Southern Hemisphere will experience the shortest day of 2018.

Nah our town doesn’t have anything funky. Except astronomy and studying the odd ellipse shape of our earth and how it effects the planet. The 24-hour can actually grow some of the largest fruits and vegetables on the planet! Maybe it is a good thing!

With more sunlight, that allows much more time to do activities in a day. With more night, that allows much more time to sleep. A win-win situation basically. Summer/Winter solistice is such an extraordinary event! :D
