In 1893, Arctic explorer Fridtjof Nansen deliberately lodged his wooden ship in the sea ice north of Siberia, hoping that its natural drift would take him to the North Pole. Though the Norwegian scientist failed to reach his desired destination, his three-year-long, 2,000-kilometer journey into the North Atlantic Ocean revealed important data about the then-mysterious Arctic Ocean. Now, an international team of researchers have embarked on a similar journey for a groundbreaking climate change study of the Arctic.

- adroit_avimimus3년 이상That's some extreme experimental requirements! They froze a ship to ice on purpose! Sadly we all know that climate change is real and the earth is getting warmer and the ice is slowly melting!
- unknown_user14약 4년Very cool EXPERIMENTING!!!🧊🧊🚢
- kobebryant245년 이상I think this is where the titanic got wrecked. Imagine building the titanic again it would be awesome!!!
- albushogwarts5년 이하It has been done but that ship crashed so it would be bad luck
- crazytaco15년 이상I kinda think its a waste of money and fuel but hey, if its going to help us understand climate change better then okie dokiy
- nmboss55년 이상a frozen ship wow i will i kinda like that and stuff
- caramelrainbow5년 이상I hope the ship can get all the research done and help scientists better understand climate change
- ajw54776년 이하Cold there
- caramelrainbow5년 이상I hope that it stays that way
- dorischou5년 이상otherwise they cant do the researchers
- catiayup-259436년 이하Cold but cool ! I want to go to Artcic!
