Memorial Day, which will be celebrated on Monday, May 27, 2019, is considered by many Americans as the unofficial start of summer. For some, that means kick-starting the warm season with a three-day getaway; for others, it is a day to host barbecues or lounge by the pool with family and friends. Though these are great ways to celebrate the holiday, what often gets forgotten is its real purpose — to honor and remember the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who sacrificed their lives to defend America's freedom.

gold3nglare4년 이상I didn't even know that memorial day marked the start of summer. I always thought that it was a day to remember veterans. (It is) I never knew that people only thought of this day as a summer signal. I salute all fallen and surviving veterans. My grandfather served in the Vietnam war.

lovepup1약 6년my great g pa was in it too he died tho. his bday was on vetrains day. he was fling the plain and the plain got hit and he was the pilot. he was the only one who died. my g pa and others were bady injured. RIP great g pa Iove you. thank you.
