On normal days, Buñol, located 30 miles from Valencia, Spain has a population of about 9,000. However, that changes on the last Wednesday of August, when tens of thousands of revelers descend upon the charming town to participate in the world's largest food fight. Called La Tomatina, it entails party-goers throwing tomatoes at each other for an entire hour!

Im sorry to be a party pooper, but those tons of tomatoes could have been shipped to Africa to help feed the poor. I find it disturbing when people waste tons of perfectly good food for entertainment purposes instead of helping less fortunate people. 2) This is rather disgusting, don't you think? Who wants to be drenched in tomato gunk? Not me, that's for sure. And I'm pretty sure a lot of other people would not care to walk around smelling like tomatoes for who knows how long. Some people may think that this looks fun or they wish that they were involved, but I definitely do not. There are growing issues with poverty in our world right now. I really do not find this cool or fun. Of course, I am just stating my opinions. It is perfectly fine if you disagree.
