  At first I thought this was an overreaction. But, if you think about it, the virus was first discovered barely 2 months ago.. and there are already 70,000-80,000 reported cases in China, and already the new strand (now called COVID-19) has spread to other countries. There is no vaccine for it currently, and it may take a year (best case scenario) for one to be created. Worst case scenario? 4 years. As soon as the vaccine is released, NO doubt thousands and millions of people will be flocking into clinics. I hope, this will not turn into a pandemic thanks to our modern 21st century knowledge. China is particularly dangerous since it is the most densely populated country in the world.

    I def think you are correct. With no doubt there will be millions of people going to get a vaccine... if/when they figure it out. On a side note.....i really enjoy reading your comments. You write them well, to the point, multiple opinions, and about the subject 😃

      Thanks :). I recently heard there was a pandemic issued around 2009 for Swine Flu, with about 50,000 cases in the USA. From the looks of it, I don't think this new virus will turn into those plagues from 400 years ago. Today, we have so much better knowledge so this is why I *believe* it's just an overreaction, but there's still the real possibility of the virus contaminating millions since it can't be prevented as of now, & like I said previously it originated from a densely populated area.

        Also, agree with queen_onyx. Wolfdog seriously knows some FACTS. I love how she's so knowledgeable about these issues. All her information is accurate. Like, their were pandemics that were WAY worse than the coronovirus. Simple virus like the flu can be much more harmful than the famous, coronovirus. I feel as if people are acting like this is the first world pandemic that they've discovered.... This virus is just getting annoying. People are taking this issue to a next level that's not even necessary. A simple way to prevent yourself from becoming a victim is to have good hygiene. Wash your hands every day when you come back from the public or after the bathroom. And keep yourself clean at all times.

        I so agree with the OVERREACTION. Literally, my dad went to target to purchase some toilet paper and paper towels and to his surprise, EVERYTHING on the shelves were wiped out clean and sold out. Gee, people. And, we went costco to get some water, and again, all the water was sold out. It's like were getting ready for war or something. These people are overreacting to the point that it's just getting out of control. I mean, I can't even take the Coronovirus seriously anymore....

  a friend of mine went to the ER because of a scrape and she said that a few hours later someone showed up with the coronavirus THIS IS IN KANSAS
