Will Washington, DC, Become The 51st US State?

On April 22, 2021, for the second consecutive year, the US House of Representatives voted 216-208 to make Washington, DC, the nation's 51st state. Though the symbolically titled H.R. 51 bill is identical to the one passed on June 26, 2020, the legislation was never put to the vote in the then Republican-controlled Senate. However, this time around, the bill — which has the support of both President Joe Biden and Democratic Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer — will get a hearing in the upper house of Congress.

mokshaadhikari2년 이하it's not 5 rows with 10 stars its 5 in one row It 6 in one row then 5 in the other, keep on repeating it and you'll get 50 also I would like a 51st state we haven't had a new one in like 70 years (which was Hawaii)- mokshaadhikari2년 이하Not saying that Washington D.C. should be a state or anything (because of the Constitution) Maybe land bought from Mexico, Canada, or maybe some new islands that the U.S. can buy. If you have any objections, just know, it's my opinion.

Should be a part of the U.S., maybe get a new territory, and make Porto Rico a state because Porto Rico has a good resource for Farming and manufacturing, The U.S. has to feed over 300 Million People and Porto Rico can add to that decrease of World hunger.

aosgood약 2년The people of Washington D.C still have to pay taxes but they don't get a say in our government which is unfair and goes against the constitution which is why I think it should be a state,- aosgood약 2년The same thing goes for Porto Rico and other territories.
