The longest war in American history has ended. On August 31, 2021, a US aircraft carrying the remaining US officials in Afghanistan lifted off from Kabul, ending the nation's almost 20-year presence in the country. The chain of events leading to the long, drawn-out war began early on September 11, 2001.

It cost the lives of 2'977 civilians in the first hour of this war. Not to mention the 2'456 Men and Women who laid down their lives in Afghanistan. This was one of the most blood-thirsty wars in our history. Many of these Soldiers could have gone out for a few months,gotten their combat ribbon,and wen't home.But they stayed.And put their lives on the line. May God shower love on their graves

wonderwinter3년 이상Hi, I know the war has ended and I’m sad for all the lives lost that day. But their were only a couple people who decided to do this. All the innocent people in Afghanistan lost their lives. Their were innocent children that lost their lives too. I understand that a lot of children lost their lives in 9/11 too. But I’m a muslim, and trust me. Their are many of us out there who are blamed for 9/11. And I’ll say it again, Their were only a few people who decided to do this in Afghanistan.
