Charles Martinet, the beloved voice behind Nintendo's cheerful Italian plumber Mario, has retired. The 67-year-old has been delighting young gamers with catchphrases like "mama mia," "let's a-go," and "it's-a me" for over 25 years. Nintendo made the announcement in late August 2023.

NOOOOOO the goat of mario voice has retired. Now he can live life with a great accoplishment. BUT WHY did he have to retire. Kevin Afghani is the new mario voice actor and he sounds good but he will never be better than Martinet. :(
