Charles Martinet, the beloved voice behind Nintendo's cheerful Italian plumber Mario, has retired. The 67-year-old has been delighting young gamers with catchphrases like "mama mia," "let's a-go," and "it's-a me" for over 25 years. Nintendo made the announcement in late August 2023.

singularity_42약 2년Kevin Afghani voices Mario in Super Mario Bros. WONDER now. He sounds just like Charles Martinet, but, it will never be the same. I really loved Charles's debut as Mario in his career, he did a great job and he is so nice. I cannot believe he is retiring at 67 years old, after 29 years of voicing Mario. I just hope the new voice actor will be good. WE LOVE U MARTINET!
