After lying dormant for 6,000 years, the Fagradalsfjall volcano on Iceland's Reykjanes Peninsula suddenly came to life in 2021. The eruption lasted six months. But it was considered minor, and posed no risk to nearby residents. However, the volcano's most recent outbursts are threatening the survival of Grindavík. The small fishing village of 3,800 residents is located about 6 miles (9.9 km) from the volcano.

- charlie-201년 이상it so crazy
- crazychristine1년 이상I hate volcanoes. All they do is destroy and put ashes in the atmosphere.
- linstone1년 이상Volcanoes are the worst. Although they may make new ground and more fertile soil, it leads to havoc all across the area. When ash spreads through the air, it causes wildfires, the lava causing destruction to homes, farms, and taken life's. When I think of this volcano, I think of all the horrible times in history. Mt. Vesuvius, Mt. Saint Helens, Mt. Etna. All of these wreaked havoc on the world, leaving lasting scars on the economy. Let's just hope the numbers of eruptions go down in the near future.
