Boom Supersonic's XB-1 Breaks Sound Barrier In Two Historic Test Flights

On January 28, 2025, XB-1, an experimental aircraft built by US company Boom Supersonic, became the first privately built jet to fly faster than the speed of sound. To prove this was not a fluke, test pilot Tristan Brandenburg flew around for two more supersonic runs over California’s Mojave Desert before returning to land.

And well as planetary masses, in fact, technically you're on a rock flying through space going approximately 67,000 mph(107826.05 kph), so you're also going faster than the speed of sound right now! (as well as everything else on earth) Isn't that so cool and perplexing!!! (I'm in 5th grade btw (by the way)
