Every April 22, over a billion people around the world celebrate Earth Day by participating in neighborhood clean-up activities and environmental teach-ins. The planet's largest civic event began in 1970 when twenty million Americans poured out onto the streets to urge lawmakers to take action to protect the environment before it was too late. Now boasting over 50,000 partners in 195 countries, the Earth Day Network (EDN) has led to the establishment of numerous environmental policies, including the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Endangered Species Act.

volleyballgirl84년 이상I think that it is very good that we are taking initiative and taking this problem of our Earth's pollution into our own hands. If we can't make it better for our generation, we should make it better for the next generation.

spaceify4년 이상I do agree that we need to take care of the earth, but its a very big planet. i doubt it will end soon. after all, not all the problems are caused by humans. some are natural. we do need to act but its alright to take your time. after all, its impossible that it will end so soon, sure it will soon enough go to garbage (quite literally) if we don't act, but we don't need to do it fast.

soccerswimgirl14년 이상I get your point but remember, it is not all about cars. You have got to save the planet! If we don't, we will run out of trees and then air and then we won't be able to breath. So remember save the planet first, buy the car second. I know saving the planet might seem hard but its not. All you have to do is go around picking up trash and recycle more. If you can start composting. That is a great way to recycle food waste. I compost all the time!
